What a great first night last week!

Thanks everyone for coming along- an awesome night- let's keep the momentum.

danceVibe have been proudly teaching Novacastrians to dance since 2006! We are looking forward to a smooth dance year ahead, filled with quality tuition, awesome music, lots of fun, laughs and social connection, encapsulated within a new, consistent and sustainable dance calendar.

We love the difference it makes to people's lives and we are passionate about teaching this awesome past-time to as many people as we can.

Newcastle Modern Jive is weekly, on Wednesdays at Kahibah Sports Club.

Wednesday 1st Feb is fully booked and our registration page is closed. Please text Adrian on 0418 679 048 to be on standby  for cancelations. We always get a few and will advise you if we you can join us asap.

Please note you must pre-register rather than just turn up. We have limited numbers due to floor size and need to manage the lead / follow ratio to help provide everyone the best possible experience.

Venue - Kahibah Sports Club - 63 Kenibea Avenue Kahibah

Entry - $18

First-time visitor special $12 (Includes an introduction, two classes, and supported social dancing!).

First time visitors can, on their first night only, purchase a 3-night pass for $40 for their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th classes.

Night's Format (at least 2 classes and 2 hours of social dancing for all!)

6.30pm- Doors open and music on.

6.45pm- Fundamentals Class (for new and newish dancers). Ideally, you need to do this brief but important introduction at least once to get you ahead of the game before the main beginner's class (Level 1). You are welcome to attend this class as many times as you like. Getting the essentials right sets a good foundation for future learning.

7.00pm - 7.45pm Level 1 Modern Jive (First timers welcome).

7.45pm - 8.00pm Freestyle (social dancing/practice). We have freestyle mentors on hand to help new and newer dancers every week.

8.00pm - 8.45pm We split into 2 classes of different levels.

Step-up class - Room 1 (This is a class to support new and newer dancers who have not qualified for level 2 and help them progress).

Level 2 - Room 2. Experienced dancers who have qualified.

8.45pm - 10.00pm Freestyle (social dancing/practice). Teachers on hand for the first 4 songs to help new/newer dancers.

Welcome back,  FREE dance party on Saturday 28th January at Kahibah Sports Club.

The club is rarely available on Saturdays due to functions so let's make the most of this opportunity.

Dinner at 6.30pm.

Doors open 7.30pm.

Ice-breaker Modern Jive class with Adrian and Bec at 7.45pm.

Social dancing until 11pm.

No pre-registration required.

West Coast Swing is on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month, commencing  February 10th.

6.15pm - Doors open and music on.

6.30pm - 7.00pm Level 1 Class (1st timers welcome)- FREE entry.

7.00pm - 8.00pm Workshop $15 - Doors open 8pm. (Price may vary with visiting teachers).

8.00pm - 11.00pm Dance Party $15

Standard mixed-style format for the dance party thoughtfully catering to Modern Jive & West Coast Swing dancers.

Dance Parties are generally held every 2nd and 4th Friday of each month, commencing February, following the Swing Session.

Terrigal Modern Jive

We are excited to be hosting some more danceVibe Modern Jive nights usually on the last Sunday of the month, starting February (please note June is the exception as we have a dance ball on that weekend on the 24th June). We love coming down and seeing our fellow dancers down there and look forward to bringing our smooth and evolved style of Modern Jive down south to keep central coast growing, learning and having fun!
